Skyline aims primarily at defending the rights to freedom of opinion and of expression on all social media: “Blogs, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, WhatsApp” and other contemporary means of communication within the Web, in an effort to influence public opinion in the Arab region to reject these violations and to stop them, by achieving the following objectives: To observe, document and archive all violations against any person, whether ordinary or famous, for expressing their opinions on social media sites by security agencies, unknown persons, parties and extremist groups or through campaigns of distortion and incitement, and to ensure the provision of legal support. To link issues on the promotion and protection of the freedom of thought and of expression to international laws and charters that support the principles of the right to freedom of opinion and expression on social media networks. To work with civil society and international media organizations to defend freedom of expression and build a human rights and media pressure front in the Arab region and Europe.
